In our climates, this fast-growing shrub is suitable for seasides and mild climates. It rarely exceeds 2 meters in height and proves to be very versatile: it is used both isolated and in a clump, in a free hedge or even in a windbreak hedge. In regions where severe frosts are to be feared, it can also be grown in a container, in order to bring it indoors during the winter.
