The Sandpaper Fig is a fig with rough sandpapery leaves. The tree has a dark brown trunk and ovate or elliptical leaves. The fruit is oval and about 1.5 cm long.The branches and leaves of this small tree are densely hairy and rough. The round figs are also hairy, turning purple purple-black when mature, ripening in January through to June.
