Super Seeds Mesembryanthemum Crystallinum Ice Plant 700 Pcs

Perennial succulent to 4 inches (10 cm) tall, native to South Africa. Ice plant creates a low carpet, glistens in the sunlight, and produces oversize flowers that resemble sea anemones. The leaves provide a safe trailside nibble and are sometimes pickled. Crystalline Ice plant does well in poor soil or beach sand.

Sow seed on surface of fast draining medium and press in hard, keep warm, in the light and evenly moist until germination, which takes between 1- 3 weeks. The seedlings are very small at first, and need to be grown out in pots for some time until they are big enough to transplant to the rock garden.
