Its flower is bright yellow contrasting with its red pistil, 3 to 6 cm wide. Its leaves are very cut, of a bluish green and marbled with white, provided with "thorns on their edge. Its stems provided with prickles rise up to 60 to 80 cm. The flowers open out from June to October
