The leaves are marked with a reddish vein. A compound leaf is made up of 6 to 9 leaflets, very toothed and fan-shaped. It is the elegance of these leaflets that gave the species its name.
In its natural environment, it reaches 3 meters high, but in pots it rarely exceeds 1m50
When the species reaches its full development the leaves are no longer as thin as in younger individuals.
