This native Asian banana tree bears orange-colored fruits tending to red when ripe, it is a rather rare and curious species to which great ornamental value is given. Among its most curious uses, it is worth noting to cut its stems to obtain the sap that, when dried, acquires an intense purple color, ideal for making dyes.Put the seeds in lukewarm water to soak for 48 hours. Then sow in a warm-sheltered-bright place, in a substrate that drains well and always keep it humid but not flooded. Germination is very slow and irregular, being able to start germinating after 2 months and even last more than 6 months. Once germinated, transplant the plants into individual pots in the shade and water frequently, do not expose the plants to temperatures below 5ºC.
