Wonderful Philodendron corcovadense Seedling Garden Plant
These Philodendron corcovadense we are offering were grown from seed!
On April 14th 2022 Head Grower Brett pollinated a receptive inflorescence on his mature Philodendron corcovadense with pollen from another inflorescence that had exuded pollen the day before. That means this was a self-pollination attempt. The pollination was a success, and on June 28th the bright red berries (see last photo) were fully ripe and harvested and the seeds inside were sown! These plants for sale are the seedlings that grew from those seeds! #EveryPlantHasAStory
These plants can continue to be grown in 100% sphagnum moss and be very happy this way! In the future when they want a larger pot, it would be recommended to up-pot them still into 100% sphagnum moss for best growth results. If you would like to repot them into a more standard potting media, use care to remove as much sphagnum moss from the root zone as possible, but be aware that some root damage may occur in this process.
